We are happy to announce we received a 2nd prize in the competition The City Above the City for the proposal Dachkiez, Village on the Roof.

We are happy to announce that our Michelberger Hotel rooms received the Hotel Application Award 2016 for best hotel room.

This Friday the prefabricated elements arrived at the construction site in Denmark and were installed within a few hours.

As a part on the World Architecture Festival 2016 Sigurd Larsen will give a lecture and participate in the following panel discussion under the topic “home from home”.

Sigurd Larsen is appointed professor at the BAU International University Berlin starting September 2016.

As a professor Sigurd Larsen will explore the field between architecture, design and visual communication through teaching and research.

Sigurd Larsen is commissioned to design a new series of furniture for The Nordic Embassies in Berlin. The furniture will be presented on October 14th 2016.

Today we received the building licence for a series of affordable sustainable houses in Denmark. We are looking forward to get the construction site started.

Location: Frikøbing, plot 4-14, Lejre Kommune.

Completion: December 2016.

Sigurd Larsen Design & Architecture is commissioned to design an internal extension of a home for several families in Essen. The existing building is 200 years old and under German monument protection. The new extension will be located inside a 12 meter high barn and contain spaces for playing music, living and working. 

Location: Essen, Germany.

Completion: 2017.
